One scene. One take. One score to beat.

Every round stays short enough to replay while the performance is fresh. Pick a scene, record the line, review the score, and decide whether to keep the take or try again.

  1. Choose a scene or pack

Mark 2 to 15 seconds in a local video, or let Dub Pack timestamps queue each line. Load a pack from a ZIP on your device, or paste a supported GameBanana Dub Mode page. A GameBanana ZIP travels directly into this tab; Choicer Voicer never receives or stores it.

  2. Record and score

Perform the line, then compare your recording with the original. Pitch contour, rhythm, and timing stay separate, so you can hear what landed and choose one clear target for the next take.

    02
  3. Export and share

Save one mixed scene, or place recorded pack takes back on the full video timeline and export locally. The finished file is rendered in your browser and saved through your downloads; Choicer Voicer does not publish it.

What the score measures

Pitch, rhythm, and timing stay separate, so each retake has one clear target. Scores are for entertainment and work best when you compare the same line under similar conditions. They are not a professional voice or audition assessment.

How your score works

Pitch contourTracks the rise and fall, not absolute vocal range.

Pitch scoring follows the rise-and-fall contour of your voice. The system centers both recordings on their median pitch and compares the melodic shape, not the absolute notes you hit. A bass voice dubbing a soprano line can still score well when the ups and downs match.

Rhythm and energyCompares emphasis, pauses, and shifts in energy.

Energy scoring measures how loud and soft you get relative to yourself. Both waveforms are normalized, then compared as shapes, with a small lag search to account for capture delay. Timing scoring checks whether you speak and pause in the same windows as the original.

TimingChecks where your voice starts, stops, and pauses.

Your overall score blends pitch, energy, and timing, then applies a voice-coverage adjustment. Too little or too much voiced audio compared with the source pulls the score down. Because microphone quality, room echo, and background noise all affect results, scores are most useful for comparing retakes of the same clip with the same microphone in the same room. Treat the number as a personal best tracker, not an audition grade.

A voice-over game and dubbing studio in your browser

Choicer Voicer Online turns a local video or a community voice pack into a voice-over challenge. Mark a 2-to-15-second scene yourself, or follow the Dub Pack's timed prompts, then record your version and compare the shape and timing of both performances.

There is no app download or account. The full editing and export loop runs in the page, so you can move from first take to finished video without learning a traditional editor. Optional Play Together rooms let 2–8 people split Dub Pack roles while keeping the source Pack and final render local. Choicer Voicer does not clear usage rights or publish your result, so use only video and audio you are allowed to dub.

Local-first media, explicit room sharing

Works with the browser you already use

Current Chrome and Edge provide the most consistent path from video selection to microphone recording and export. Safari and Firefox support can vary by codec.

MP4 with H.264 and AAC is the safest input, followed by WebM. Around 200 MB is a practical guideline for smooth local processing.

Phones can open the studio, but recording and export depend on the mobile browser. A desktop or laptop remains the most reliable choice for a full session. Wired headphones help on any device by keeping the original audio out of your microphone, which makes both the take and its score easier to compare.

Choicer Voicer FAQ

Is Choicer Voicer free?

Yes. The browser dubbing game is free to use, with no account, subscription, or app install. Open the page, choose a clip, and start recording. You can download your finished export at the end.

Does Choicer Voicer upload my video or voice?

Source videos and Dub Pack ZIPs are never uploaded. Solo microphone recordings stay local. If you explicitly use Play Together, only the voice takes recorded for that room are uploaded temporarily and shared with its authenticated participants.

What video formats can I dub?

MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is the safest choice, followed by WebM. Other containers may fail when their codecs are not supported by the browser. Around 200 MB is a practical size guideline.

Why does exporting take as long as the clip?

Export is a real-time recording. The browser plays the scene while capturing the mixed result frame by frame. Keep the tab in the foreground until it finishes.

Can I use Dub Packs?

Yes. The importer reads common Dub Pack ZIPs locally. WebM or MP4 video loads automatically. If Edge or Chrome cannot play an included OGV, choose a browser-ready copy of the same scene. Prompts, captions, characters, and timestamps still come from the ZIP. Non-standard layouts may not work.
