Direct answer

Is Choicer Voicer Online Multiplayer?

Yes—for role-based Dub Pack sessions. Play Together connects 2–8 people in a private room without accounts or a public lobby.

Everyone imports the same Dub Pack, claims one or more roles, and records only their assigned lines. Voice takes are temporarily stored for the room; the source ZIP, video, prompts, scoring, mixing, and final export stay in each player’s browser.

Open Play Together

Step by step

  1. 01

    Import the same Dub Pack

The host imports a local or Community Dub Pack, opens Play Together, enters a display name, and creates a six-character room code. Send only that code and the same Pack to the other players.

  2. 02

    Join and claim the cast

Each player imports the same Pack, enters the room code, and claims one or more roles. The host can start only after every role is assigned and every player is ready.

  3. 03

    Record your assigned lines

After Start, the fixed Studio controls show only your lines. You can listen, record, review, score, and retake before choosing Finish. Finishing locks your uploads while the room waits for everyone else.

  4. 04

Save and export the full dub

When everyone finishes, each browser downloads and prepares every take before enabling export. When browser storage is available, it also saves recovery copies locally; otherwise the current tab keeps the takes in memory and warns you not to reload before exporting. The fifth control then mixes the takes with the local Pack video and creates the final MP4 or WebM in that browser.

What is—and is not—uploaded

Play Together uploads only the voice takes you deliberately record for that room. The source Dub Pack ZIP, video, prompt audio, scores, and final export are never uploaded to the room service.

A normalized content fingerprint confirms that every player opened the same Pack without sending the Pack itself. Player tokens stay in session storage and are not placed in the room code or invitation URL.

Room limits and recovery

Rooms support 2–8 players, up to 12 roles and 200 lines, and expire six hours after creation. There is no matchmaking, public lobby, text chat, live voice stream, account, or server-side video rendering.

Refresh restores the private player session in the same tab. If a host or role owner is gone for five minutes, an active player can take over the host role and the host can reassign the disconnected person’s cast.
