Can You Play Choicer Voicer on Mobile?

Yes for basic use, with important browser limits around recording and export.

You can open the studio, load a Dub Pack or browse the ready-made Packs, and rehearse on many current phones. A desktop or laptop is still the most reliable way to record, score, and export.

Open the studio

Step by step

  1. 01

    Open the site over HTTPS

Microphone access requires a secure page. The hosted site uses HTTPS, but a copied local HTML file may not be allowed to request the microphone.

  2. 02

    Choose a short MP4

Use an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when possible. A short, smaller source file reduces memory pressure on mobile devices.

  3. 03

Test recording before a full take

Allow microphone access and make one quick recording. Mobile browsers can differ in how they capture, decode, and play microphone audio.

  4. 04

Keep the page visible during export

Export records the scene in real time. Switching apps, locking the screen, or moving the tab to the background can interrupt the result.

More detail

What usually works on mobile

The responsive interface, local video selection, segment controls, and original-audio rehearsal work on many current phones and tablets.

Exact support depends on the operating system, browser version, available memory, and codecs inside the selected video.

Why recording and export vary

Choicer Voicer relies on browser features including getUserMedia, Web Audio, MediaRecorder, and canvas capture. Mobile browsers do not expose every combination in the same way.

A phone may load a clip correctly but fail to decode its audio or encode the final video. This is a browser capability limit, not an upload or account problem.

The reliable setup

For the complete flow, use a desktop or laptop with a current version of Chrome or Edge, headphones, and a quiet room.

If you stay on mobile, begin with a 2 to 5 second segment and test export before spending time on repeated takes.
