Privacy at Choicer Voicer
Solo play keeps video and voice work on your device. Play Together, Feedback, and a deliberate Community scene submission are separate optional paths that can send specific information to us.
Community scene submissions
Source videos and solo microphone audio stay on your device. Play Together room takes follow the separate room section below. If you submit a scene, the uploaded file, creator name, reply email, and submission details are sent to our service and stored privately while under review. Only approved submissions appear in the public catalogue. Your reply email is never displayed publicly. Contact info@choicervoicer.net to request removal of a pending or published submission.
Game media stays local
Videos and Dub Pack ZIPs you choose inside the homepage game, along with prompt audio, scoring, mixing, and exports, are processed in the current browser tab. Solo microphone recordings also stay in that tab. They are separate from Community submissions and Play Together rooms.
If you paste a supported GameBanana link, this tab requests the public mod record and the selected ZIP directly from GameBanana. GameBanana receives the normal network and browser metadata for those requests. Choicer Voicer does not proxy, receive, store, or add the linked media to its catalogue.
Closing the tab releases in-memory recordings. Files are written to disk only when you choose to download an export or score card.
Play Together rooms
When you explicitly create or join a Play Together room, only the voice takes you record for assigned Dub Pack lines are uploaded. The source ZIP, source video, prompt audio, scores, and final export are not uploaded. A content fingerprint is sent to confirm that players opened the same Pack without sending the Pack itself.
The room service stores your chosen display name, room role and readiness state, random player identifier, hashed bearer token, take metadata, and the uploaded WAV takes. Other authenticated players in that room can download those takes so their browsers can assemble the complete dub. Do not record sensitive speech you do not want the room participants to hear.
Room data is scheduled for deletion six hours after creation. Each participant’s browser tries to save completed takes in browser-only IndexedDB so export can continue if the room expires or the network disconnects; those local copies remain under that browser’s storage controls. If browser storage is unavailable, the current tab can still export from memory and shows a warning not to reload or close it before downloading. The private token stays in sessionStorage and is never included in the room code or URL.
Feedback you choose to send
The Feedback form sends your message, optional reply email, optional browser diagnostics, and optional screenshot to info@choicervoicer.net. Before attaching an image, check it for private tabs, names, notifications, or other sensitive information.
The Worker validates the submission in memory and passes it to the email service. This project does not write feedback or screenshots to a database, object store, or media library. The resulting email remains in the receiving mailbox according to its email retention settings.
Advertising
The homepage displays an Adsterra Native Banner in an isolated advertising frame. Adsterra and its advertising partners receive normal network and browser metadata, such as IP address and browser information, and may use cookies or similar technologies where the browser permits them. The frame cannot access our game page, local files, recordings, or room storage. No game media is sent to the advertising provider. Ads are not loaded when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is enabled. This is separate from the aggregate analytics preference below.
Aggregate analytics
The production site uses Pageview and Google Analytics for aggregate page views and a short list of product events such as sample started, recording completed, score completed, retake started, and export completed.
Analytics events do not include video or audio content, file names, feedback text, screenshots, reply emails, or score values. Like other web requests, both providers receive normal network and browser metadata. Google Analytics may store first-party analytics identifiers in this browser. Both integrations follow the analytics preference, Global Privacy Control, and Do Not Track signals described below.
When you finish scoring a published Community scene, Choicer Voicer can add one anonymous dub to that Pack. The request contains the Pack identifier and a random event ID used to prevent duplicate delivery; it does not contain your recording, source video, file name, or score. This automatic count follows the same analytics preference, Global Privacy Control, and Do Not Track signals.
If you explicitly recommend a Pack, this browser receives an anonymous HttpOnly cookie. A separate per-Pack hash lets the service remember and reverse that recommendation without creating an account. Recommendation totals are public; the browser token is not.
Your choices and contact
You can disable aggregate analytics and automatic dub counting in this browser below. The analytics bootstrap and dub counter also respect Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals.
For a privacy question or a request concerning feedback you sent, email info@choicervoicer.net and include any feedback reference shown after submission.
Analytics preference
Aggregate page and product events are enabled on the production site.
The change applies on your next page load. Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals are also respected.
