Dub Pack guide
How to Import a Dub Pack ZIP in Your Browser
Choose a structured ZIP from your device and turn its video, prompts, and timestamps into a guided dubbing session. No software install, upload, or account is required.
The browser unpacks the ZIP locally, queues every usable line, keeps your takes in the current tab, and builds the final timeline on your device.
Import a Dub PackStep by step
- 01
Choose Import a Dub Pack
On the homepage in a current Chrome or Edge browser, choose Import a Dub Pack from the source options. You can select a local ZIP or paste a supported GameBanana Dub Mode link.
- 02
Select the local ZIP
Pick a ZIP containing dub_video.webm, dub_video.mp4, or dub_video.ogv, plus per-line WAV, MP3, or OGG prompts and matching INI files with dub_timestamps. Captions, character names, pack details, and a backing track are read when present.
- 03
Review the queued lines
After the archive is checked, the studio jumps to the first timestamp. Use the line menu or the dock's Next line control to move through the pack and listen to each prompt.
- 04
Record and compare each take
Allow microphone access when you record. Your latest take is saved in this tab for that line. A waveform comparison and 50 ms sync nudges are available after each take, and you can replay, score, or re-record at any time.
- 05
Export the full timeline
After recording at least one line, export the complete video in real time. Recorded takes are placed at their timestamps, an available backing track is mixed in, and unrecorded lines remain silent. Keep the tab visible until the download is ready.

Expected ZIP structure
A usable archive has a video named dub_video.webm, dub_video.mp4, or dub_video.ogv. WebM and MP4 can play directly when their codecs are supported. Theora OGV is recognized, but Edge and Chrome may ask you to choose an MP4 or WebM copy of the same scene. Each prompt audio file needs a same-name INI whose dub_timestamps value contains one or more valid times. Optional caption, dub_characters, and _pack_info.ini values enrich the session.
An optional audio file named _backing_track can supply the full-length bed. The importer reads common stored or deflated ZIP files up to 300 MB, but encrypted, multi-part, ZIP64, damaged, and non-standard variants are not guaranteed to work.
Local files and permissions
The ZIP, extracted media, microphone recordings, scores, and export are handled in this browser. They are not sent to site analytics or a media server. When available, the opt-in Remember this session toggle saves the current source and takes to browser-only storage so you can resume later; the saved data stays on your device and can be cleared from the same panel.
Local ZIP imports and microphone recordings are handled on this device rather than uploaded. Reviewed community packs on the Packs page are a narrow exception whose media is delivered through the site's reviewed catalogue. Choose only packs and recordings you have the right to use, and decide separately whether you may share the exported video.
If a pack will not open
If the ZIP has only dub_video.ogv and its Theora video cannot play, the studio keeps the pack ready and asks you to choose a browser-playable MP4 or WebM copy of the same scene. The replacement video stays in the current tab; timestamps, prompts, captions, and characters still come from the ZIP.
If no usable lines appear, check that every prompt has a matching INI, that dub_timestamps is present, and that the filename stems match. For an unreadable archive, create a standard non-encrypted ZIP and try again. Reloading clears the in-memory session unless Remember this session has saved it successfully, so export or save anything you want to keep first.
